About Us
St Joseph Men’s Choir is a product of Catholic Men Association (CMA). After CMA was founded at Chikapa Catholic Church under Mthawira Catholic Parish in 2013, the leadership proposed to the then Parish Priest for Mthawira Catholic Parish, Rev. Father Lawrence Simbota to be including a CMA Eucharistic Celebration in the monthly calendars of the parish like he did for women (CWA) and the Youth. The Parish Priest happily accepted the proposal. Since this Mass was for men, the men therefore saw it proper that a men’s choir be formed to lead in the singing during those Masses. That led to the birth of St Joseph Men’s Choir – Chikapa.
